Integrated Logistics Management System:-
ILMS is a platform for unifying various logistics functions such as transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and order processing.
It reduces redundancies, eliminates bottlenecks, and ensures smoother workflows, leading to higher operational efficiency.
My observations:
– Two different tech platforms don’t handshake each other and work in silos.
– Either Business come first and Tech later or Tech built on early business scenarios without Scalability. In both cases we land up in disaster once business scale is achieved.
– Tech build up is Reactive rather than Proactive.
– Business Leaders casual approach or denial mode to accept this gap. Or these developments left in incapable hands.
Look around today, You will find that the well established or progressive businesses have very strong Tech built up.
The need of the hour for Indian SCM fraternity is to get an affordable, sustainable and reliable Integrated Logistics Management System.
